What's the easiest/fastest way to get Bones?

Kill zombies and cut up the bone piles they drop. I have 2 spots that I frequent...brit graveyard and just north of the deceit bard room

Thanks, also do you know if it's possible to somehow cut up bone leggings to get some bones back? or are they useless once made?

If you're adventurous there are several good serpent spawns in Destard where you can get both spined leather and bones a plenty. Beware of dragons, however.
