Wasted Meta Exp

I just want to really know why the creators of metas think it is a good idea to have pets that when they gain experience points is possible to never gain or use the ones past a certain point.

it is saying that really once you hit a max lvl pet and it doesn't evolve that tuff shit you still farm with it but gain no exp.

why dont these gained experience points roll over at all?

why farm if in the end it is like you didnt farm at all.....

It's almost like you have to have a certain amount of taming and your pet won't grow unless you do?

I'm not sure what the complaint is :/

not about leveling, about the lost exp when it wont level. you keep gaining exp for killing mobs but nothing contributes to your next level. so you basically are farming 2x once for the pet and then again once it levels due to not having a ps.

there can be a gap and huge and some points to lose that much exp and have it not count towards anything.

I don't get it. That sounds like it makes sense? Like you can level it to stage 2, max that, but can't start leveling stage 3 until it has transformed (and you have the PS etc)?

I dunno, that sounds right to me unless I'm not understanding. Which is very possible as I don't have a tamer/meta

this was a suggestion to not lose meta exp for something that already is almost a POS

so you gain exp till you cant. because of a PS makes sense. but then why have a meta pet fighting anything or use it until you gain exp with it? hard enough to evolve on mobs, then you need a item, then you get to farm again. why cant you use the exp you gained while it is not leveled?

so you farm exp, and then its taken away and you are told, that what you just killed was worth nothing, but come back to same mob with the right item and you get exp again?

This. You can do all the champs and RDAs you want, your chance of getting a 120 taming is super low. So now you have to rely on other people which shouldn't be the case in any game really.

Yup! And that particular 120 PS is pricey as hell

There's other pets to play with. Other templates to pvm with. Other things to do besides pvm. Other things to do besides play uo all day. You've got options.

it's probably like that so people can't binge grind and end up dying in a puddle of their own piss and vomit after a 72 hour meta grinding marathon

because we all know that's what would happen.
