UOSteam Targeting Questions

Hey all,

I've read everything I could find here on targeting but still haven't been able to piece together a good system. I'm generally confused about using Get Enemy (or Friend), Target Enemy (or Friend), and if they have to be used in conjunction with Set Last Target and Target Last / Attack Last Target, etc. How does "target! enemy" work in a Macro?

Basically I'd like to be able to Mouse Scroll Up to cycle through Friends, Mouse Scroll Down to cycle through Enemies, and use my Mouse Thumb Buttons (I have many) to issue commands like Target Self, Target Enemy, Target Friend, Target Last. Below is quoted from @halygon in another thread, which is close to what I'm looking for ***thanks Halygon for all your posts, they've been extremely helpful***.
  • Last Target (target! 'last')
  • Target Self (target! 'self')
  • Target Enemies (reds, OJs, greys)
  • Target Friends
  • Set Last target (setalias 'last')
Are any of these Hotkeys triggering something in the Targeting Dropdown found in the Hotkeys tab or are they all triggering a Macro? If you are willing to share, I'd love to take a look at your UOSteam macros involved.

Thanks in advance for any feedback!!

whatever you "get" will be your target. if you want to cycle you can go to hotkeys and do get--> enemy/friend--> next. Doing next will start with the closest then cycle to the next closest each time you hit it.

then you can do target last or attack last.

Thanks. To clarify, by "getting" a target it automatically sets it as "last target"?

How do I set it so it highlights the mob or player that is the new target before attacking or actually targeting them with spell, provo, etc.?

EDIT: Found it, there's actually a box to check in options. Working with the set up now, I'll post back once I'm happy with it.
