UOF -- exact replica of UOR, or allowed to grow into its own thing?

The main idea behind UOF is to have a UO:R-accurate free server. I'm just wondering how people feel, would you want this server to stay exactly as UO:R accurate as possible, or would you be open to new items, new dungeons, new cities, new areas, etc as long as the *ruleset* stayed UO:R era?

I'm interested to see if people feel this place could become something entirely new, or are you only here for UO:R nostalgia?

I like the ruleset. I am game for some new things as time goes on. No matter what game you play, no change eventually gets boring.

Im excited for new things . even dont mind bringing in things like "luck", "Faster Casting" etc
Luck, maybe. FC/FCR, hell no. that becomes item based and fucks everything up. I'm for new things, but if it becomes item based i'm out.

Gotta be a mix IMO... Sticking pure era accuracy gets old and obvious "fixes" are desirable. Adding new content breaks monotony and brings excitement. However having a solid base of ou:r to go off of is necessary. Honestly this shard is exactly what I have been looking for since I left the classic UO ( less than a year after trammel).

Plz never bring in FC, luck, LRC, LMC etc lol. I would quit that day and I believe a large part of the community would as well.

The thought of the old days is what brought me to UOF... so I'd probably to lean towards exact replica if I had to pick. That being said, it's good thing I don't because I do like the new clothing, tameables and dungeons . So maybe just and era accurate rule set with new content??

My thought are irreverent either way........... I like the new direction, where we don't get a say, that the developers @Adam are going to take moving forward.

The idea behind UOF was never to have an UOF accurate free-server.

We are more of a uoforever server, the entire idea and the true challenge is keeping nostalgic aspects, UO:R like mechanics while being able to add new content. You will always need new content. UOSA is a fine example of what happens when a server does not develop or make additions. All games must evolve eventually to keep entertaining.

We won't ever effect things that unbalance game play, pvp etc.

Change is always needed to keep/create interest. Likewise challenges, otherwise it becomes boring and repetitive, you lose interest and quit.

I know there are some tamers who would argue that killing titans for hours on end with no threats is awesome, but id rather watch paint dry than to have no challenges on uo.

This server is a good balance of like Shane said bringing new things to the game without changing gameplay or pvp which I'd way rather
