The Trouble with Granite

I have a miner at 115 and I want to craft some stuff out of granite. I have the books and the tools, and I recently got to GM Carpenry, so lets go out and get some stone to craft with... "you have successfully extracted some high quality stone" ... but where is it?

When I go to mine up stone, it gives a message that I extracted stone, but the stone does not show up in my pack... Bug? or noob?

Make sure your shovel/pick axe is turned on to mine for both ore and stone. Single click it to bring up the context menu.

My guess is you're using the tree hack option on the launcher. Granite is invisible unless you disable it.

Yeah when mine got turned on I noticed a lot of weird ones missing too. Plants weren't too surprising...I forget now but there were some odd ones.
