Tailoring + Cooking =

Wouldn't Carpentry make more sense?

I guess you could separate the boat into two parts: hull & sail.

currently only cloth hues the wood, the sails never change.

its about how you get the dye: takes cooking to make even some dyes in real life.

thats how you get body tribal paint is from cooking already. you cook a berry to get the color. so it could make sense you need tailoring to work with "rare" cloth to extract the hue and bottle it.

Wasn't trying to change the 'Cooking' aspect of the skill combination; it's why I never mentioned it.

Not sure why you did.

trying to show you sense, maybe you didnt get where i was coming from or how boats work in the first place and where the hue comes from and how it dyes the boat currently. i was looking for something simple and easy and not to get put on back burner something fun. what you stated would have to change how boats are hued in the first place. so i went with tailoring/cooking. and yes i thought of carpentry but they get to make the boat already!

Don't get me wrong, I was trying to corner the market.... probably *evil grin*

I'd have figured tailors could make special clothing dyes, miners could make dwelling dyes, and carpenters would make ship dyes. :D
