Suggestion for Murderer statting.

I suggest to lower the maximum stat loss time to 12 or 24 hours. I also suggest to change the murderer body cut system. What I was thinking is murderers should be able to cut everywhere except no cut zone, factioner or not. Right now if you are a murderer and in factions you cannot be cut out of the dungeons if the killing shot comes from another factioner. There is also some certain areas in dungeons and champ areas where you are not able to cut a murderer for some weird reason. I think this should be changed as well.

Basically both sides (blues and reds) get something with this change. The reason I suggest this is because I think it's too long penalty for murderers to be away for 2-3 days and for blues it's unfair to not be able to cut everywhere in the game map, except the no cut of course.

I like both of these suggestions. How about 5 hours per murder count since the last time the head was turned in, to a maximum of 25 hours.

And when you cant cut someone's head, why even bother fighting back and just escape. That's no fun :(

And if kingdoms will replace factions, how about... Ill make another post about that later

Would be nice if only the killer could cut your head, especially if they add perma stat loss. So if you die to mobs (con lost, ddos, lag...), you won't get statted. I think penalties are harsh enough right now though.

Agreed -- I spent 150k PVPing against 18 blues who had grouped up for some big battles the other night.... without EQMS being on reds, PVP wouldnt have happened and dying 4 times cost me 150k whereas the blues who died battling it out last nothing.

This is interesting because it would force reds to defend their corpse until the killer cuts the head.

I always thought whoever gets the killing blow should have head put in their bag, but that's just another thought. Also like the idea Baby Blue posted.

Not sure the one who did the finishing kill has to cut the head will do anything, you will have 10-15 guarding it just killing everyone in sight, i do like the idea of the head going to a random opponents bag, make it a special hue so its easily identified.

Murdering the innocent is against Britannia law, fiend; killing murderers however is very much encouraged by law.

There is a law system in place. Bounty hunting is for the law, murdering is against the law.

If you can't handle that, UO isn't the game for you.

You've been antagonizing the forums for months now about how people should band up and deal with the 'red problem' themselves; you don't get to turn around and cry when it finally happens.

I absolutely agree, in my opinion it makes getting into actual pvp fights hard.

most people prepared for real pvp are factions, most factions have basically 1 guild that rules them, so be in that guild or don't be in that faction.

So you go into a dungeon carrying 3-5x what you might hope to loot off one guy, you find a guy with pets that can 1 shot you if you take even a sloppy RNG from their spells/melee, even if you don't crim him, there is a good chance that he will call in 12 other people on blues and all they have to do to keep you around is flag you once.


I understand why they put the statloss system in, and honestly it's not bad, I rarely get the short end of it.

However, this server has the worst blue to red ratio I've ever seen, where small group/solo red play becomes very difficult.

When I played AOS, there was almost no difference in being red, the benefit was that more people would attack you, and if you didn't step on anyones toes, other solo reds would usually come together to get rid of outnumbering blues.

So as a solo non-factioner it seems I can either not play my blue, or stay in dungeons on my red.

Blues lose time doing the champ only to get raided in <10-15 mins so they do lose something for their effort... And we're talking about blues who aren't in big guilds THAT are also new to the server or a part of a new guild.

Faction reds should be able to be cut anywhere I. Dungeons.

Love the idea...there has been a lot of times when i went to cut a red's corpse at a champ spawn to stat him and it doesnt let me for that reason alone.
