Starter Sets

So I'm looking to give back to the community that has been so helpful with getting me started in UOF. I currently have a GM blacksmith and looking to create a basic starter set that comes complete with Full Plate weapon and shield and have it go for around 300 Gold.

This of course is targeted at young and new players and hopefully wont get exploited by veteran players.

I do however want to make sure I'm not asking too little and it have a negative impact on the current economy in the game.

I wouldn't be worried about ruining the economy as what you are trying to do is meant to support young/new players(will say that gm dex suits are around 1k-2k and gm weapons are around 500g), and i'm not sure full plate would be the best option for new players. I LOVE the idea of giving back and helping out but i'm wondering how you plan to market to the new players or lead the young to your vendor location?

My recommendation would be to find young players and just suit them up. Don't advertise or you will be taken advantage of at one point or another.

I do this with my crafter when i have the resources on me.

You can also just stay in the crafter guild and help those that come there looking for wares.

I have a Tamer mage that I'm working on and once he can gate I was going to setup near Brit bank or the blacksmith and have a gate open now and then to advertise wares. What I might do is just take my second account and broadcast a message to send me an IRC tell and I'll hook them up.

Currently I'm not set to move forward with this plan but it is something I plan on starting in a few weeks.
