speedhacking question

is it pretty common? is it easy to spot? and what does it look like on UO R/Sallos (i.e. smoothwalk)?

I imagine when people speedhack they execute some sort of script that is bound to a key allowing them to skip a couple tiles, which they use subtely to get in range for a Kill Shot/Stun

I was fighting one guy the other night and his buddy ran up so I decided to bolt. I proceeded to find and run a lane through the trees(equivalent to running thru a grass field with no obstructions) in hopes of just out running the gankers. We were about 10 tiles apart for 15 seconds, when all of a sudden his char jumped like 5 tiles still leaving him outtve stun range then all of a sudden he stunned me, which all happened within about a second.
after I res'd I asked em about how they got a stun from 10 tiles away, they got very defensive and said that I was slow(I have a 19 -30 ping), and said I was hitting a million trees(again I was running thru lane in trees essentialy an unobstructed stretch)...Also I use sallos Smoothwalk for pvp and unlike razor where other players will kinda skip around, sallos kinda gives u a good idea where you are and where the enemy is both client/server side, atleast I think so. So do you think my speedhacking notion is misguided and am a slow chump or are they a couple 15 y/0 zit faced speed hackin chumps?

i dont think its as common as people cry tbh but its possible. Adam said he throttled most speed hacks so the server will start to slow you down if u move over a certain speed. having said that i dont think it has any effect on resync jumps you said he appeared to jump 4-5 tiles at a time so its could be that thou people lose tiles from lots of things (hitting trees/running badly/ bad client set up/lag spikes)

Eitherway not much u can do to prove it eitherway if you are that concerned next time or record it or report t to staff they can watch him.
