So how did I just get robbed?

I want to make sure I know for the future.

I made a commodity deed for 2000 ingots, guy said he wanted to buy em, got a bank check, I put deed in trade window, he put check, I clicked the checkmark, next thing I know is the transaction completes and I have no check or deed. How did he steal it from me?

SUPER EDIT: Nevermind: I now see in this version of the game they arent blessed. Ok, so HOW the hell do I sell something safely then? What if I want to sell more ingots, or an ethereal mount.

They are not blessed and he put youor deed on last target and cancelled the trade so the deed went back to your bag and he stole it.
Trade stuff at the docks/arena south of wbb its a safe trading spot, stealing does not work.

Yea, I did a quick google before I sold them and UO Stratics said Comm deeds cannot be stolen, so I figured I was safe.

Well that sucks, a good couple hours wasted in my first couple hours of UO lol.

Always make sure when you google for info, make sure it is a post about uo forever specifically. Most free shards don't really follow other sources exactly very often.
