Ring of Forgiveness

I have some guildies of mine that wanted me to post here on forums for them saying that the Ring of Forgiveness Doesn't work when your in a house. I have no idea if this is a bug, I think the GM's wanted the ring to work in this way on purpose. I have no idea, I'm post on behave of my guildies... As far as I know you must spell it as the ring says it...
And you can only use it once ever 12 hours, I've heard...
