I'm new to UOF but played OSI UO for years and any fighting character of mine was going for GM resisting spells. I'll be honest I never really looked into how it all worked it was just something you did, a pain to raise but necessary. I never even considered leaving it out completely.
But, since starting playing again I've seen templates that avoid it completely and I've read about the spells it helps you resist (I always assumed it was all spells) and I'm thinking it seems pretty pointless but then so many people use it, it must be worth it. Surely there must be another skill I can GM that will more than make up for it right?
I'm currently working on a warrior character.
Please set me straight because my years of absence have made me forget how to raise skills quickly so I don't want to spend ages on resisting spells for no reason.
