RAZOR JOURNAL CLIENT CRASH

For the past couple months i have and countless other players have been crashing when opening their journals. ive heard some steam players have this problem as well and it seems to be getting worse now. it is happening more often as b4 it was once in a while.
can staff please look into it.

I have start experienced the same problem but on UOSteam in the past few days, especially when come to wbb for trading, staying more than 3 min in the roof freezing your journal and if you try to close/or click on the journal gump - client crashed.

yes this is very annoying. been happening for about a few days/week now. I thought it was something I may have done to see the MOTM cloth.

For the longest time I thought that this was just me that was experiencing it.. until a few days ago when I had a few other people mentioning it as well and that they are crashing too when opening the journal.

It happens when selecting ALT+J.... and also when opening the journal on the top bar on the client screen.

It seems like the more that gets stacked up in the log, the more likely the crash. You can get away with not opening journal for a while but if you let too much time pass and open it you'll crash.

I had it happen for the first time, to my knowledge, just yesterday using steam. When using that particular character I run him with the journal open all the time too. I noticed the journal wasn't updating when I glanced over at it to see something, thought I had locked it and clicked on it to scroll. Noticed it wasn't actually locked and it just wouldn't scroll or do anything and then I crashed.

The problem occurs when you have logged X amount of entries in the journal. Maybe around 500-750.

To test the theory, after loading a fresh client, I went to west brit bank and hit my 'all-names' hotkey about 30 times. each time i pressed it, it would log about a full journals worth of entries, and every press i would open my journal just fine until about the 30th time I tried, which given the amount of players on screen there would equal around 500-750 journal entries.

So really the only way to prevent this from happening is to re-launch the client every time you think you've had enough journal entries to cause the problem. For anyone who stands idle at WBB taking in the spam from vendor gaters, pretty much need to relaunch the client after idling at wbb for a little while.

My client version is 7.0.15.1

You're wrong i opened my journal in my house after being logged in for approximately 1hr and i crashed . I immediately logged back in and right away opened my journal only to crash immediately. Happens anywhere at anytime no matter how many logs in the journal . Might be different for each person or razor vs steam

it's funny. I did the above 3 times in a row and it worked out the same way each time. I've gone ahead and tried it again, and can't replicate the crash anymore lol. so maybe not journal entries. Or could still be, but a certain type of entry.

Safe to assume you're a steam user? does opening the journal always crash you??
