Poisoning Weapons

Hi,
can anyone tell me if there is a formula to work out your chances to apply LESSER poison to a weapon, based on the amount of points in poisoning skill?
So, say I have 50 poisoning, what are my chances to apply lesser poison to a Kryss?

I want to invest as few points in poisoning as possible, while still having at least a 50% chance to poison my weapons using lesser poison potions.

Similarly, for regular poison too as a comparison please.

you have a good chance, like 10% fail at 50 to do lesser, about 40% chance to fail for normal, about 0% chance to succeed on greater/you'll just poison yourself.

not exact numbers, just based on what i've been using recently

Thank you, so if I reduced poisoning down to say 20 skill, any idea what the chances to apply lesser poison to a weapon would be?
Just trying to find that sweet spot which gives a reasonable rate without costing too many valuable skill points which I could put into something else.

no idea at 20, its probably very low, at 35 when you buy poisoning from the trainer you only get like a 50% chance to apply lesser. Also having that low poisoning isnt a great benefit. as most higher mobs wont even get effected by it. if your just doing eetins and orgres it'll work, and for their paragons it'll stop their natural health regeneration if its taking a while to kill them.

but once you start getting into heavier stuff, its probably better to either max poison for deadly poison, or drop it all together. also depends on what build you are using at higher lvl areas for what will and wont help you farm up

Thanks but I have an altogether different purpose in mind for the poisoning.
So 35 is where its at huh?
I wish there was a formula or table that explains all the connotations.

This is a UO:R based shard, and while some things have obviously been changed or updated the mechanics seems for the most part to hold true.
