Pet stat loss, Pet control, and flooded PS market, one solution.

So i had what i thought was a great idea to solve 3 issues faced by UOF at the moment. the issues are:
Pet statloss (specifically on Metas who cant regain their skills)
Pet control (specifically level 7 Metas)
PS market flooded with low end PS.

here is my idea.

add an option to apply PSs to the meta stone for meta pets 105 PS would be 1 point, 110= 2, 115=3, 120=4.
then add an option to use these points to purchase a few things, one would be a increase to pet control (5-10% per purchace up to 100% control), another would be a pet skill reset (would reset all pet skills), and a single skill reset (would reset a single pet skill
I'm sure you could come up with other things to add but those are what i thought of.

Some advantages of doing it like this are these items are bound to the pet stone so you can't resell them (not making the rich richer). this will sink PSs out of the market making them have more value to new players when they get them from champs. this also makes it possible for people who have dedicated time into a meta to have control over it and keep its skills up without having to pay mils for SSs, but this also does not make those SSs useless as it will be cheaper to use them until your pet is uber skill fucked. also this will continue to keep the PS market fresh as tamers are always going to be wanting to keep their pets skills up, and the current pet stat loss system ensures that they will be buying an using PS for as long as they play.

the prices of the options are definitely negotiable but i think something like the following.

20 points for 10% more control
20 points for single skill reset
50 points for full skill reset

Feedback?

NOPE.

Makes too much sense!

Ha but really this is all an amalgamation of suggestions that staff have either made themselves or have been made by others with staff voicing their support for the ideas. So of course you get a +1.

The ideas have gained traction, now we just need some implementation!

I think this is a pretty good idea. Deals with a few problems that people are having issues on.

its stupid !

50 pts for a full skill reset ?

105 ps is currently 5k ?

50x5 = 250k ?

SO 250K FOR A FULL SKILL RESET ?

LAWL !

i know u want ur pet skills back ! but not this way !

First off try thinking things through before making ignorant posts like this.

Yes some 105 PSs sell for 5k but how long do you imagine that will last when tamers are buying them all up? I bet less than a week before every 105 PS is 25-50k so 1.25-2.5 mil for stat rest seems good to me, and if prices stopped there I would be shocked.

Also this has nothing to do with my pet yet, I am about to get a free skill reset.

I would think someone with as many PSs as you would love an idea like this.

I don't need my pets skills back. They aren't that bad, but I think this is the right direction. Don't have to be rude.

I think the biggest hangup with this idea for most people is that powerscrolls would need to be updated to have "seasons" like silver did when the faction rewards were changed. This way people don't benefit who are sitting on a huge stockpile of PS already and have to get this seasons powerscrolls. Make them a different hue or something, you wouldn't have to though because silver worked just fine with a different tag between seasons.

What ever happened to conquest points ever being able to be used as currency for rewards of some breed or fashion? Maybe PS can be turned in for conquest points and a skill reset be able to be purchased as a high end reward that way?

Maybe [eventscore can be incorporated somehow?

There are options! Let's see what we can do here fellers flex some of that staff muscle @eppy :)

I don't see why it would even matter at this point. It would get rid of them and with minimal economic disruption.

i dont think so, they earned those PSs, i say let them use them, they will dry up soon enough, and its not like it gives them a super advantage.

That's pretty true, and it's not like the 105 PS won't dry up because they will if there is a turn-in system consuming them making them increase in value.

However, this is always going to be a talking point when people suggest the turn-in and if people have strong reservations about not allowing people to use stockpiled PS then you can always use "seasons" to counter that argument.

Other than that I don't see any problem with a suggestion like this. Not even a potential problem to be honest.

No matter what you do give higher value PS more weight for their turn-in.
