Pet insurance deed.

As a gold sink or dono item there should be a meta pet insurance deed.

An item that can be used on a meta pet or meta stone that takes a "snapshot" of your progress and relics. Should your pet be lost, you can use the deed on a new egg of the same type to apply that progress and those relics to the new pet, destroying the deed in the process. Perhaps there should also be a % loss of progress or something like that to prevent abuse.

This would still incentivize pet stealing as the egg is still lost but lessen the blow to a player losing their meta pet. Let's face it, if most players lost their pet they would likely quit, and many have. Why not just lose an insurance deed and an egg instead?

People who lose them often do so because they are unaware that they are not stabled. So Pet Balls don't work.

well to be honest I'm not sure it's good game balance if players who are too new to remember to stable their pets are wielding such powerful weapons.
