Owning a ship?

I've always loved ships and want to buy one, but want to be sure of some things before I do.

1. Do I get a small model of the ship in my bag, or a ship key? What is the difference?

2. If I'm sailing and my ship is sunk, is it gone forever? I have to buy a new one now?

3. Is there storage on ships? Does the storage stay with the ship if "shrink" it into a key/model by docking it?

And any other general things about how a ship works would be awesome, ie the process of sailing it, docking it, etc

Ships are insanely expensive on this server..

Ships can be docked and turned into that model ship you were talking about... be careful if your killed it can/will be looted... You can cast recall on the KEY to recall onto your ship.. you don't need the key to drive the ship.

1. You get a model. When you put it in the water you get a key.
2. If your ship gets sunk by pirates then you have 3 options. 1. Pay a ransom. 2. Find a way to get back to the ship and repair it. 3. Let it go to the pirates. You have 15 minutes to decide to pay the ransom or try to get back and fix it.
3. There is a cargo hold on the ship. However, you have to remove all items from the boat in order to dry dock it. If you leave the ship with items in it then pirates can com aboard and steal everything.

Nah ship models are blessed, unless you have an old unblessed model in your bag or something.

Buy a ship from a player. They are cheaper. Pirates usually have tons.
