Newb here! need help with install

I have followed all the steps I can find, and when I launch the launcher it gets to about 10-15% install and i get an error message saying that it has stopped working. Any help would be good.

no one?! not even a mod can help?!?

I would like to start playing, but I just cant get it installed, it just keeps giving me errors. is there something i'm doing wrong?

Does the error message say anything else?

It says
"UOFLauncher has stopped working"
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
