New user account not logging on

Hey guys,

Thought I'd give UO another shot after many years of the sub, thought it wasn't worth paying for anymore.
Anyway long story short, just creating a user on UO Forever, all went fine and got the email to confirm.
Downloaded all the appropriate programs and cranked up UO with login details as described.
Putting in my username and password, it just keeps popping up with Incorrect login please check your ID and try again.
Is there a delay time between creating an account and being able to log on?
Something I'm doing wrong?

You may be trying to create an account with a name that already exists, so instead of creating the acct it thinks you forgot your password. Try a new acct name maybe.

When trying to create a new account it just tells me the email is already in use

Dont create an account just try a different login and it will create an account.
