New to the server and game..please help!

Hello all,

I need some help with this game...I have did some searches on the forum and was able to understand which build to go with and how to make some quick gold before my young status goes away...now i am confused as i m not sure where to go now.


1. I have made about 20k from the newbie dungeon and now my young status is gone and my fighting skills are GM and above 95..but i m not sure where to go now to make some gold..( i m not familiar with dungeons beside newbie dungeon, what is the next dungeon that's around the diffculty of a newbie dungeon where i can make some gold?)

2. I heard about rune books and it's blessed so when I die it will not drop? where can I get one of those? I looked around the mage shops in brit but I can't seen to find it anywhere.

3. are there portals where I can use to go around different towns? I heard about escorts too but I dont know any other place other than Brit..is there a program or a map in general that i can use to locate different towns?

1 The next few dungeons (despise and shame) are probably wanabe pk hot spots if you go there have recall macros set up and be ready to run or fight. Farming in wild for a while , Joining up with some other new players or venturing deeper into some of the dungeons maybe a better plan.

2 Filled Runebooks are player made and will find them on player shops.

3 There is a moongate system that will take you close to or inside most major towns.

there is a few maps programs : -

- UOAM sometimes being so old you need to download some files depending on the client you have installed ( check out UOAM black map on Google)

- UOMapper (ive never used this but im sure some people here can tell you if it works here)

- i think UOsteam has a pretty good map built in but i am unsure if it has lables.

I guess in order for me to go anywhere now is to have runebooks setup with marcos, i have magery at 55..i guess i'll be able to recall safely if i get chased by PKs.

Where can i find player shops? in cities or player houses?

Around Yew moongate there are many player run shops one should stock premarked Town and Dungeon runebooks.

You can charge the book with recall scrolls and recall at 0.0 magery if need be.

I Play odd times cos im GMT timezone but if you have no luck finding a runebook Leave a message here or PM me and ill try sort you one out when im next online

There are also player owned houses with tons of pre-marked runes in runebooks called run libraries. If you have a single rune marked at a good rune library, you really don't need any others except for convenience. There is a rune library south of the west Brit stables outside of city lines.

I found the location for runebooks! thanks guys!!! all i can find are empty runebooks selling from those vendors..are those blessed?

All runebooks are "newbied" meaning that although it does not have [blessed] over it, it still stays with you after death and cannot be stolen.

Jellyo you need Magery or charges (recall scrolls in your book) to use your runebook. You can find these scrolls in most places that sell runebooks, and more.

You also need to put runes in the runebook. If you want I can help you with that.

Take note, runebooks can be stolen if they are placed within a bag within your main bag and a thief steals the bag.

Hi, i'm looking for a spellbook too... the only vendor i found sells them for 5500 gold but i only have like 1k...
Additionally i don't know how to contact you in game... is it possible?

If you are low on cash, kill liches. The drop two high end scrolls on each death. You can easily fill up a spellbook with them and get some good cash along the way... Even enough to go buy full spellbooks. Try moonglow, yew, or jhelom graveyards to find them.
