New House Problems

I just placed a small house deed. My question is how does the lock ,unlock , secure, unsecure system work. I have a chest locked down and i put some items in it. I went to get some of the items out of the chest and i can't pick them up. I tried unlocking, don't know. Thanks for help.

If you double click your house sign it will tell you how many lockdowns and secures will hold. I know a small house has 3 secures. If you say "I wish to secure this" and click on any container and it will ask what level of security you want, owner, co-owner and friends. Anything in a secured container can be taken and stuff put in with no issues.

If you say "I wish to lock this down" and select a container it will lock it down and everything in it will be locked down. That means you can't pick it up without saying "I wish to release this".
