Need little advice :)

For skill gains in crafting, for example blacksmithy, what percentage is recommended to shoot for? Meaning, do I try hard stuff in the 30's, mid range in the 50's, or easy to make in the 70's? I've seen a variety of guides in the search, so I'm not sure if there have been changes or not. It's been awhile since I played, so I'm looking for a general rule of thumbs, versus a specific skill. Thanks, in advance. :)

EDIT: what percentage, for good skill gains, is what I'm looking for.

I'm thinking in the 50-60% range gets you the best gains
This depends if you are training in or out of a dungeon. 50-60% range is perfect for dungeon training. Outside of a dungeon and in like the crafters area... Stick with a higher percentage such as 60-70% for best gains.

Inside a dungeon you will gain a lot on fails, but not so much outside of them.. You want to succeed more than fail.

Ah, ok... then I go with that. At this stage, I lucky if I remember where I stabled my pack horse. Don't even know where the dungeons are :p

There are maps all over the internet that can help you with that. But take one step at a time.. There is a lot to learn.
