Musicianship and animal lore

Hi all
i'd like to understand if musicianship and animal lore are actually needful for success in provo/peace and animal taming.


I have to evaluate my skills because i'm close to 700.

Musicianship is 100% required for peace and provo.
Animal lore is 100% required for taming.

Without lore, you cannot control animals.
Without musicianship, you can't... uh... use an instrument.... correctly...

Absolutely you need those skills.

Any less than GM music and you can fail to play your instrument on the music check before the game even takes your other barding skills into consideration.

Animal lore is necessary to control your pets.

The only way to create a tamer/mage/bard is to drop your resist and eval.

He is right. I've seen many tamers have all 3-4 bards skills. I worded that wrong. The minimum you have to do is drop resist and eval...

I'm experimenting making a fisher/provo/mage... Currently working Provo/Peace/Musician/Fishing/Magery/Resist/Hiding

I really couldn't find anything with a template for a fisherman, any thoughts?

Essentially Skills:

100 Provo/100 Tame or lower (2 young drags are enough)
100 Music/100 Lore
100 Fish
100 LP

Variable Skills:
Magery 60-100
Meditation 20-100
Hiding 60 or Invis

Carto 75
You can also buy 200 Maps decode em then drop carto for more meditation etc

Cartography seems like a wasted skill? Wouldn't it be better to throw that on a throw-away char and just have them do the maps for you?

sure, but you need 2 chars then.
