Monster statue pets

How about if we have the option to double click on our monster statues and it will spawn that very monster as our tamed pet?

For example, if I have a poison elemental statue, I would double click it and it would spawn a poison elemental as my pet and delete the statue in the process.

I could see this if they were just aesthetic and just followed you around like the pets in WoW (non-hunter) or D3.
