Hello Everyone.
My last monster hunting adventure took me deep into the bowels of Shame 5 to research and vanquish the Crystal Elemental. My next contract pitted me against the magic heavy Reaper, which is predominately located in the forests of Sosaria. Here is my report.
Monster Contract - Reaper
Amount - 320
Difficulty - 3/10
Duration to Complete - 11 Hours(In game time)
Location - Minoc/Overworld, Exodus
Monster Type - Magical
# of PK attempts - 0
# of times killed - 0
# of paragon's killed - 31
# of paragon chests/easter baskets - 2
Paragon chest drop rate - 6.2%
Skill scrolls dropped - 0
Statues dropped - 2
Gold farmed - 33,600gp
Average gold amount per kill - 105gp
Reward - 846gp
In comparison to the Crystal Elemental Contract, this was a much more pleasant experience. Reapers tend to spawn in clusters, so it is wise to have magic reflect up at all times. Since Reapers mostly spawn in the over-world, it can be difficult to locate them so the contract may take some time to complete. The reward was again, very disappointing but was 6gp more than the Crystal Elemental Contract.
