Meta pets with <120 taming

What will happen if you have less than 120 but continue to level a meta pet? Will it's progression halt at the maximum experience (level 5 at gm taming)?

if you dont have the required taming for the pet to evolve, it will stay at the level until you level your taming.

GM = level 5
110= level 6
120= level 7

levling/exp is from mobs and nothing to with skills(taming)

lol nope, the exp you keep gaining but when it levels all that extra exp is lost, i had 6mil exp over lvl 6, when i got my 120 taming, 1 exp clicked him over and i lost 5.9 mil exp

you can get a 120 lore for maybe 2 mil or less now, so they listen good, even wil gm lore-110, only lvl 7 meta has a problem of listening when do yuo first get it

haha okay, I meant can I level my pet until I have 110 tamin and then pop him over when I hit 110...but that answered my question thank you !!
