Looking for non tamer pet guide

Is there a guide out there with pet information for non tamer? I found a ton of older guides and information explaining how much skill is required to actually take a pet but I am looking for information on what skill is needed to just have as a pet/be transferred to you.

Basically I'm looking for options for a npc companion for adventuring/role play/ added defence in a pinch on my non tamer. No taming skill looking for animals that would fit the bill. No I'm not trying to or thinking it's possible to have a npc chicken fight off a dragon for me but I want to try and get what ever is the strongest pet I can have as a non tamer.

Anyone have links or reference material?

Yeah I seen that one but very little information most listings don't show "to transfer" levels that guide pretty much says anyone can have a dragon transferred to them?

It list way more info but not any to transfer levels...

Anyone else got resources?

horse, llama, pack horse llama beetle, cats dogs birds can all be controlled with 0 taming.
But the problem is you actually don't even know what you want. What template are you planning on using for this non tamer?

Valid point I overlooked about not saying the template.

I am quite a casual player I prefer bank sitting, farming a few crystals, working in my house (in game) I enjoy things that most people overlook. That said this is for my non tamer so:

Anatomy
Healing
Archery
Tactics
Spell resist
Arms lore (for talisman bonus)

I do have other characters including a tamer (no power scrolls) so no problem getting a pet for him. But my main is my casual i just like wandering arround exploring finding deals buy/sell ect.

The use of the pet I realize will be minimal but a lone Adventurer with a cow companion is just silly. I have up untill now used no hirelings but they don't last long and it's becoming hassle to keep replacing them (I much rather prefer a humanoid serveant, companion, scribe, slave etc. I went so far as to try and bond a hireling with an instant pet bond deed (it works) and link him to a summoning ball (also works) and let it die to see if it's even rezable (yes but they come back naked) the problem was you can't "stable" them and they will still "go wild" when they run out of money so I have to go this route (I am soooo bitter about this lol.) :(

So I am not looking for an Uber pet and having no taming skill I get that. Just some kind of pet I can link to a summoning ball, call for in a pinch even if to use as a possible interrupt to a pk or buy me a second to get my recall off, maybe a distraction to a mob so I can escape (a horse or dog won't take a full hit let alone 2 or 3)

Lastly I'm considering a meta egg, I get I will never be able to level it up on this toon but it would at least look better than a cow or llama. Can a low level meta (4 or less) be controlled by anyone or does it start right off at 100 or so?

I guess alot of it is like anything else in up people want fancy pixels weather a rare cloth a motm hue pet, etc I would like a little uniqueness to what ever let I can have.

Well first you need a way to heal your pet in your template. Secondly as far as meta you can have up to level 3 with 60 taming but can't do any meta with 0.
So simple answer is get a pack beetle it can take a hit or 2 from most things, provides utility with its pack.

Can heal with heal scrolls, can rez with tamer alt, and currently ride a swampy but maybe a Beatle is my best option.
