If you buy carp and tinkering skills you can make the boxes and it will take you to 72. Just did it. Made 20 boxes and a key ring.

check the roads leaving Moonglow fence to the east, i saw a house with lockicking sets around there.

all it really takes is a tinker>50 box to take you from 50 LP to 76ish, that will then enable you to macro on a 100 tinker box

You can gain off of the lvl 5 dungeon chests (mostly in khaldun, but also one in deceit near balrons). Since there are only a few lvl 5 chests in the game, it can take a long time. Lvl 4 dungeon chests might give gains as well, but the gold amount and contents were not worth it to me.

Let me know if you still want to buy that lockpicking SS off of me.

You can gain off of lvl 4 chests now as well, it takes a lonnnnng time.
