Locking down house keys

Hello folks,

I'm wondering if it's safe, on this shard, to lock down the keys on the front doorstep to your house (using the three tables and a book trick)?

Does anyone do this?

There is no need for keys because you can lock a door without a key.

For custom homes, set the security on the door to match those you want to open it (ie co owner or above) and others just will not be able to open the door -- so it is essentially locked for them.

For classic homes, you have to "secure" the door before you can set security on it. So you need to say "I wish to secure this" and target the door.
