Hi, i checked the Forums on this topic and read this in an official thread:

On a side note, we might look into obtaining and running our own VPN for Ultima Online Forever for those that need it.

is there any news on this?
i really lag hard in Europe...

i think its a "route to host issue" and shane is looking into goin back to the old texas host or finding a new host. as for vpns i use lower ping and i only drop 10ms but it seem's to stabilize my ping with no vpn i can ping between 100-250( esp high when moving around or casting) with a vpn its a steady 100-120 (w/e i am doing).

I've been talking to our NEW host this morning and today here and we are working out a new rig.
We are aware of the issues, and are more than on top of it.

oh you ll have a great connection there, K A Z.. you can directly hook up with the server, cause it will be located in the hut next to yours!

A host on the east coast US would be best for all players I would think. A good middle ground for west coast US and UK players..

i think focussing this topic would help alot of players, who experience problems with the new server now..

Sorry for digging up an old thread, but I couldn't find another one about this, and didn't really want to start a new topic.

Is there any "official" solution for EU players? Currently my ping is around 120ms, which isn't that bad I guess, but I wouldn't mind if there was a way to bring it down further. As for the VPNs, do you guys have any particular ones that I should try?

I guess the best solution would be a VPN which has tight connection somewhere close to the data center where the UOF server is located.

120 is very good, you would need a VPN to make sure it's always stable. Lowerping was recently shut down for good, give Battleping or WTFast a try.

WTFast is a relatively good service to use. Without it, I get leg spikes periodically, which can be a right nut cracker if impending doom is hot on my heels. With WTFast, lag spikes are gone and at least a 15-20 ping decrease can be enjoyed, damn thy eyes poor routing!

@Darkarna hey man whats up?

Do you know how to configure WTfast to work with Razor? Simple can't make it work !

Hey, sorry about the delayed response. I do not use it anymore and has been a while since I used it. Maybe, there is someone else here who could help you with that. Again, sorry about the delay.

I managed to make it work but it doesnt improve the latency at all, with or without VPN it goes always around 150

Trying changing the location to where you connect, IE in my case, change from London to Norway/Germany.
