Killing Pack Animals

Someone keeps killing my pack animals in a locked house. Is this a cheat?

Keep them in the middle of the house preferably on a second floor. If you have a small house then its best to keep them in the stable. Meteor Swarm is good for aoe damage to things such as your pack horse/llama.
