Keybindings get in the way

Everytime im typing to someone all my key bindings trigger.. Is there a way to stop this from happening? Most games you just hit enter to type so it doesnt do that. I did see on razor you could turn them completely off by binding a key to do that but is their not a better way?

depends on the assistant program you use but yes you can set a hotkey to toggle hotkeys on and off.

on uosteam its the first hotkey on hotkey list "toggle hotkeys"
on razor its also the top hotkey on the hotkey list but named "enable/disable razor hotkeys"
on sallos you need to set a hotkey for options/toggle hotkeys and set the drop down as toggle
