Is bloody talons worth the price for meta-dragon owners?

I'm guessing that the demand from meta steed owners (who need it to level at a more bearable rate) has driven up the price of bloody talons.
For meta dragons, the damage output from that relic doesn't seem to justify paying what it costs.

How much more effective does the relic make pets at downing mobs? Is it worth the money to put it on a meta-dragon?

Isn't it like 100 dmg every 20 seconds (10 second cool down 10 second dot)? Seems like most mobs would be downed before the dot finishes - even if it proc'd right off the bat. But maybe there's something I'm not thinking of.

yes.

paragons have up to 7500 hps?

champ bosses, mini bosses have 20k +?

And it will def help you kill any mob your fighting fast enough for it to almost be proced for next one.

100% would put one on.

Ah, I thought it worked like poison does: the effect stops when it wears off or when then mob dies, whichever comes first. Are you saying that if the mob dies before it wears off and the dragon attacks another mob immediately, the remaining ticks will affect that second mob?

Before inflation it was worth the gold. Now not near as much. But it's still necessary if you are a completionist and want that max damage.

Wait til you drop it or a friend drops one so you can get a friendly discount. Don't pay market price for a bloody for a dragon. Your money is much, much, much better spent elsewhere.

No you were correct it is locked onto whatever it activated on. No carry-over.

I will say one thing, at the current price, it makes a lot more sense to buy it for your steed than your dragon. But it's still very much worth it.

It does 100 dmg over 5 seconds and has 30 seconds recovery. And it needs a hit to proc and it's random.

So forget about doing 100 dmg every 30 seconds. It doesn't proc 100% every 30 sec

Molten procs waaaaaay more often and it's waaaaaay better at champ spawns. I have all relics on my meta because i wanted to complete it, But i wouldn't pay more than 5m to put it on a dragon.
But i got suckered into paying 8m to put another one on my Steed lol

I mean it's only a few mil more than it was so it's not like one nice drop can't make up the difference in price.

On the flip side getting nox and molten for less than a bloody makes much more sense long term and you don't need as much gold up front. Or if you have the gold up front just spend the little bit more on a QS.
^assuming no relics or maybe only one

Seems to be plenty of relics hitting market so I mean buy what's available until you fill it out. A dragon with four relics shouldn't have a gold relic on it I'll say that.

Full disclosure, molten relic has nuances that can effect activation and damage of other relics though.

It will do more damage than bloody because of the AoE effect. Sometimes it bugs and you can land double strikes (I am still ot sure what causes this but I think it has something to do with the activation time and target changing tiles at the perfect time) and just over time you'll rack up area damage.

But it can make your dragon stutter step. If you have a QS active especially, but also if you have a QS or bloody ready to activate...well sometimes you just gotta lose some DPS while it does its thing. The molten stutter takes longer than a spell cast/Fb. It will make you cuss at your dragon sometimes.

Bloody and molten both are ready to rock and roll though they both like to activate often.

I got a QS and bloody off drops within a week of each other and the damage they boosted my pet is unnoticeable.

O wait, that's because i don't have enough money to buy a meta stone to apply them to my pet...

Talk about a **** tease... le cry:confused:
