Is AFK Mining illegal?

Am I allowed to macro mining using many marked spots and recalling on loop to collect ores?

Ive seen two seperate AFK miners same spot past 3 days straight, they cant be checking too much... have at it.

Don't forget that uo uses little memory and anyone can run a recording software and record 30secs of an afk miner.. =P

This is very true. Eppy and JoeB do these checks often when they are online. Other GMs also check.

You would be surprised on how many people are caught. It may be possible to slip by every now and then, but eventually you will be caught. Just because someone looks to be afk mining, it doesn't mean that they actually are. I am sure when I mine, i look like a robot, but I am there doing all of the actions myself.

I kind of wish the staff here would put together a compilation video of that first few seconds when they pop into a players view, and that player mistakes them for a red and freaks out.

What I did is: I have marked a lot of iron ore spots and a rune to each one. Then I have a recall macro for each one, and a macro to keep using the pickaxe below my foot and throwing the ores in the backpacks of my two mounts. But its not a automatically macro that run all the runes one by one in sequence. I stay always in the keyboard, selecting the spot in the keyboard, runing the macros one by one. To be honest I really tryed to do a macro that do everything, but went insane, its impossible to me. so, Im never out of computer, its just a thing to avoid getting a RSI (repetitive strain injury)... when my mounts are encumbered, I recall to a forge and smelt my material.

If anyone in the staff says this is not alowed Ill stop imediately..
