I know people have asked for it before and I am not sure what the consensus was on player made slayer books but here is another sugestion...
Low chance random chance to make a colored spell book? Nothing special about them other than they come in a unique hue at random. Players are constantly making their avatar look unique and/or spending alot of time making a look for themselves why not add a little something to add to the game that has no direct impact on physical game play.
This would also give trade skills (scribest in this case) a chance at more income.
Maybe limit the hues so that event awarded ones are still unique?
