i got mine for 2.5m, havent used it yet due it sucking balls

Yeah, I just got mine and it's fun to use but not particularly effective. I'm carrying deadly poison, but it doesn't seem to do much damage.

I'm GM poisoning, and I can usually poison my target in the first few strikes just through using the skill. With the relic it seems like I usually get hte poison in when the MOB is nearly dead anyway. Hopefully this improves as I level the relic up.

It's fun that I can poison with two-handed weaps and archery tho.

If you are using the skill to poison your weapons doesn't that override the relic being able to the incurable attack and bump it up one level?

I heard you needed to leave weps unpoisoned and the pots in your pack for it to work properly.

I sold my infected almost immediately for the B/O price of 2.5m when I posted it a few weeks ago.

Yeah, I'm just saying that normal poisoning is more effective with MOBs that can't cure themselves, cuz I usually get them poisoned in the first few strikes.

The relic is of course better for creatures that can, cuz they can't. If that makes sense. :confused:

I think I get what you are saying, you are talking about the frequency of application right. Are you saying that because you don't have to wait for a cool down you can apply the poison to more targets faster by poisoning manually instead of using the relic?

Because if that's what you're saying I think it would always be good to carry two weapons, one non-poisoned for the relic to use and one poisoned to switch to.

Use relic on your biggest threat/toughest/nearest caster then switch to your poisoned wep and give everything else a love tap while you wait for the cool down. Then switch back and finish everything off.

Seems like you could do a buncha damage to multiple targets in a short time that way.

Yeah, but I'm too lazy for all that. Plus I get 1 exp point on really every time I use it, so I'll just do that til it levels up more. And like I said, poisoning doesn't really do all that much damage anyway. Even when I get relic bump to lethal poison, my target is merely ticking off 8 hps at a time, while my slayer weapon is doing 60-100+ every couple seconds.

I think the poison should do more damage, that's all.

Yeah sounds like the poison ticks could stand to do more damage if that is the case. They don't do 20+ each tick like you take when you are lethal poisoned by spawn???

Because that would probably be just fine if it worked like that.

No I was wrong, it seems to be doing more damage now. 20+ per tick.

Maybe it's different on different MOBs, like it ticks real low on NPCs.

I need to play around with it a bit more and get the relic leveled up before I make any judgement.

Oh I get it now. (I'm relatively new to poisoning)

It takes a percentage of the target's HPs, hence it does way more damage in the beginning and very little by the end.

These MOBs are definitely dropping faster than before I had the relic, and I'm just on level one with it.
