How much XP does a mate lose on death?

my meta pet died at level 3 (( Does anyone know how much XP it lost? Do I have to start from the beginning of the level or is there a chance that it only lost a small amount of XP? Thanks in advance.

If im not mistaken the XP loss should only be the remaining hps of the mob that killed it, as well as the usual skill decay that comes with pet deaths.

Oh that's almost no xp loss?

Yea it doesn't lose that much exp, just whatever health remains on the mob, of course if its tanking like an RDA boss or a champ, it can be up to 20k lost, still not much of a deal. The skills lost on death are what hurts the worst.
