How do orc mask work?

I was on my provoker in the orc cave everything was going smooth then a pk with an orc mask came in and dropped me with none of the orcs attacking him. before that I tried on a mask It seemed like I starting taking damage instantly I assumed it was the mask doing it. Is this because I was provo orcs or is there a certain mask?

1) Orcs won't attack you if you have a mask on.

2) If you do any negative action (provo, stealing, attack) towards an Orc with the mask on, it explodes in your face.
