I've been here for just over a year, and in my eyes, it's been a very active server, with an active population.. From an RP perspective, there are a few RP guilds out there, some that do varying things, the orcs are around, a group of Knights, the Free City of Trinsic, and recently I've seen a group of Drow showing their faces... There are some regular events like the Knight Fights happening this Friday at 9:00 pm - but mostly a lot of the RP is kept internal to the groups, with the Southern Alliance probably having one of the larger groups.
From a PvP perspective, you'll find lots of red/blue fights, and can always call out fights, but consensual PvP has been down.. They rolled out a new system, Militias which took over factions, it has a lot of potential, but doesn't really have the depth to really entice people yet. With that said, you'll certainly find PvP if you are looking for it, even in Militias there are often a few groups running around..
