0 patch notes.

200 or so hours of farming for people to level up their metas and they all get nerfed without warning.

A little heads up next time might go over a little better w/ the community.

You can't say the QS at level 10 wasn't known before being implemented, we have a test server... so why the nerf after half a year of being in game?

75% ?? lol never seen such a major nerf in any game. At least phase it in so we don't get the shock factor of now having shit for metas.

And again ill say, my QS is only level 3. Only had it for a couple weeks. This nerf didn't hit me as hard as everyone else. Too many people just afraid they'll get banned if they speak up.

Things are a little bit out of whack with metas. Skill gain, relic effectiveness, control...

Sigh.

In the end it's still a head and shoulders above what we had before. So, fuck it. At least we have something to talk about right?

I'm just trying to make sure we keep things in perspective here.

Duckface is underestimating the amount of time spent to level quicksilver. It would take approx. 300-350 hours to get it to level 10 since it takes 3x as long as bloody/molten do.

I had a level 8 quicksilver (L10 gets you 400 more stamina and a few more seconds on the proc) and it wasn't even close to 2s to kill a balron. It could take 8-10s for quicksilver to even proc or sometimes it would take 30s-1m before quicksilver would proc. If you had quicksilver already proc'd and started on a balron it would take at least 5-6s to kill it and that's with bloody/molten/magery also damaging the mob.

You can kill a balron with a handful of shots from a slayer bow so really who gives a shit if someone is using a meta pet that they spent 300+ hours leveling. Your pet can also die and lose 1.5 points in every skill and not be retrainable without skill scrolls. Not to mention the millions spent on relics in the first place.

I'm not a tamer, but I do rely on tamers to farm gold for me so I'll speak up in support of tamers. I saw Adam ban MT Bowl from IRC today because bowl was pissed off about the nerf. Adam said anyone who didn't report the OP QC should be banned and if they didn't report it then they don't care about the server. That's bullshit. It's not a player's job to beta test items, that's the admin's job. Players are going to play UO to maximize their benefit in relation to other players. Banning your most dedicated demographic is a lot worse for the shard than a few deco-crazed tamers having a shitton of gold.

I've never seen someone drop a balron that quick. And we have 4 level 7 metas in my guild.
