SO I am attempting to make one. No items in my bag but my tool. I go to place the wood in my bag and I get container can not carry. My strength is at max. Is there a trick to this?

yes use logs not boards

Boards will work. Buy an npc board or chop a new log...turn ot into a board...drag old boards onto new board...old boards now take on new weight standards of logs/boards.
