General newbie Taming Q's

Hi all,

first post on the forums. Love the shard. I have a few questions re: Taming.

1- I've noticed other guides/players hint to not having Animal Lore as a skill for grinding. Is there a reason for this other than allowing us to use other skills in the meantime?

2- Is there a "Beastiary" of some sort that tells us when a certain type of creature can be tamed? I looked at the wiki but couldn't find anything.

3- Veterinary, how should I raise this? Spar 2 bears together or just res a dead pet (like healing)?

I have more questions but can't think of them all now...

1) AFAIK Animal Lore is used only when you try to control the animals. It doesn't affect taming. However, I did GM Animal Lore basically as the first thing, since it can be done very easily AFK. The only other skill I really used when leveling up taming to GM was Peacemaking & Magery.

3) Bond a pet on another char, kill it, and then try to ress it with the tamer. It won't get ressed unless the other char clicks "Accept" in the gump that appears. You can GM it this way pretty easily.
