Bhumppp, I would also like to know.
I sold a black suit for 10k for a guy to dress his vendor with. It is useless armor and is only for decoration, the black scales are the hardest to get (except white?) red and yellow are easy to get piles of. All that being said, I wouldnt go less than 5k for a suit.

I'd say Blue is the hardest scale.

Even full exc dragon scale armor is junk, 48ar and 7 dex loss. 10k max for that I'd say and only if you want it for looks, so a non exc suit would be worth maybe 5k tops.

I'm curious to know. Does the different colour scales change the AR of the armor?

No it doesn't affect AR. The AR is the same for all sets. On OSI they provide elemental bonuses...dont know if it is enabled here.
