Fix overpowered armour k thanks

6-8 dmg consistent hits with a vanq +20 tracts kryss or Kat vs gm barbed armour is stupid.

Not to mention it even sometimes does it vs naked people.

Please fix this. You don't even need wrestling to survive a dexer nowadays.

Armour needs a nurf and base damage vs naked should pretty much do max everytime

Also gold runics are a joke. My guild mate made a few last night. He was hitting my naked dexer and was doing 18-34 a hit with a GOLD RUNIC WAR HAMMER. He should 2 hit kill a naked person with this. Most hits were actually sub 26 too.

Please fix buggy dexers.

Please see the val runic thread. Those weapons are a waste of time too. Even naked they are not great. Check out hybrids system which uses dice vs armour and naked players are severely punished - ie a gold runic spear will 3 hit kill you all day long.

Gm barbed leather should not be invul like armour.... It's too good

It is by not as bad as @wendy whoppers makes it, but the truth of the matter is -- AR is definitely overpowered now. It is essentially broke. We are by no means whiners like a few other (*cough* tamers) groups, but just because we don't open 50 threads screaming at the staff, doesn't mean this should not be a high priority.

I've pretty much stopped playing my dexxor because although most folks are still dirt nappers, if I come accross someone with equal skill as me, I might as well just surrender as I am not gonna win because the odds are against me.

I guess on the bright side, this is giving me more of a chance to sharpen my 5x skills.

I've brought this up before, so I'll throw in my 2 cents here as well.

Barbed armor does not belong on UOR. It was brought in either with AOS or right before AOS, to accompany tailor BODs. They demolished the mitigation system in place altogether with AOS, so it didn't have any impact on gameplay at the time.

Mages shouldn't have high AR . They're squishies with massive utility and burst damage. Right now, it's like they have a free pass to meditate through dexxer suits. Cap barbed leather AR to match that of regular leather AR. Its the easiest fix you can make.

And please put dex modifiers back on ringmail, chain and bone armor. Nobody uses platemail because of this. Revert!

Side note:
I vaguely remember reading about a similar problem origin faced before I played--either during UO beta or just after going live: mages would own ass while in platemail. Apparently there were no restrictions on meditation back then.

I dont pvp at all now because of this. I cant mage pvp because my ping is too high and i cant dex pvp because i might as well be hitting people with a rolled up news paper.

I pretty much use a Mage now too. Dexers are only good vs 0 wrestle. Otherwise the DPS isn't good enough if they have wrestle and AR.

I have to agree that some weapon skillz really got screwed over with the AR patch (vanq spears hitting for 8-14 is so ridiculous). They should definitely look into it again.

Bromista you're just terrible. I killed you 2vs1 just before on my dexer and both of you had 2 7xgm pets each lol. so don't reply here, you're not a pvper.

People precasting Ebolts with a Zerg of 10 people is not skill. Using dexers 2 or 3 vs 1 takes skill... You should have noticed some dexers r utter trash and some are quite deadly. However back on topic: vanqs doing 6-14hp vs gm barbed leather is a joke. We tested out my guild mate using a gold runic katana vs a character with no wrestling. I could mini heal through the damage because I had gmed barbed armour on.
