So after waiting and consecutively bringing up threads/question from the community "When will eventscore will be available?". The admins decided to wait over 1 month after Battles Tournament was over and than enable eventscore however, without informing they will be cleared after and the rewards will not be obtain on the list.

I was impressed once again how rigged the system is in favour of different timezones, but that's not the deal. Before yesterday the system worked for maybe (2-3 days within 1 weeks period) where I accumulated 500 points within few events and lost tons of gold in the battle well at Brittain which wouldn't ALERT that eventscore was not available to obtain after only working for 3 days tops.

During Halloween it was advertised that the events will be hosted and everybody was looking forward. However there wasn't even eventscore to obtain because it was DISABLED. So during Halloween and onwards i didn't really give a fuck about events since the system has been broken and ditched most likely. Me and my friend started gathering items to put in the battle well to host ourselves events since staff clearly doesn't give a flying fuck. But heres my concern about this... I bet if i host 10 CTF's which I am capable of doing, will the system again be disabled and boards would be cleared? I'm pretty sure it would happen again without no reason.

And today i wake up to casually see the scores because i saw tons of events hosted yesterday and all the points were cleared. So summing it up... this X-mas it will be my 1 year of playing regularly events on this server and my opinion is not positive at all.

/P:S:

If you think i'm crying about 500 eventscore or gold in the battle-well go fuck yourself. This is not a ragethread. This is just my opinion and overview of the current bullshit happening :)

Eventscore, if it's even working, has been a mess. All-around. The imbalance in score you get for certain events vs others because of the scoring and the duration of certain events vs others is all fucked up.

I mean that's about all you can say about it...that the scoring for actions within events themselves is all fucked up. And it has been broken lately. NBD. It sucks, but do you still join the events? Of course you do. I mean I sure hope so for your sake. I do because it's fun.

So on one hand, yes I care about [eventscore being totally fucked for people like myself. And yes I will voice my complaint but not in any self-serving manner but in the interest of fun and fairness to all.

On the other hand, I don't give two shits or a fuck if you care about [eventscore being borked because you let the prize get in the way of all else. Many people probably don't know this but your desire to team stack in the CTFL that never happened and push for over the top rewards was what turned Shane off to the idea. Granted, it was being somewhat poorly implemented in the first place and it's probably good that it never came to fruition, but know that your push and greed was largely responsible for that. From the man himself.

And in the other hand...well you don't wanna know what's in the other hand...

There's been a few problems with a few systems lately, some of them have had to be taken down in order to keep the server from crashing.

We all get screwed over here or there but it's always for the greater good. Now take it like a man and shut your cryhole

People fear competition and are scarred of defeat, and if we are talking about CTFL me and @Arch Enemy would probably beat everyone 2v8 in CTF. I also designed a event scoring balancing system which would solve most of the problems with current systems IF replaced. As you say that I'm the one doing those things to my own advantage, i'll happily quit playing events on this server after x-mas and never be seen again on eventscore boards. I give too much feedback/opinions/ideas to staff and afterall none of these things are neither appreciated nor used (I don't expect money or items ingame for that, lel). I know what to fix, it's quite embarrassing that i always gained same amount of points Americans did while i've been playing half of the events they play on EU time.

Think Adam should stop spectating this thread and give his voice here.

No. Selling [eventscore rewards was an easy way to make money and with a broken scoreboard there's no incentive to join because the only event that's barely any fun on here is CTF.

Neither myself nor Peav give a shit about prizes. We've both been making suggestions to try to improve the fun factor and fairness for everyone in CTF, but so far it has fallen on deaf ears. I can say without a doubt we would still join a CTFL even if there was no prize, because we love the game and we love the competition. Also, wasn't it Shane's idea to make it a cash prize? I had never heard any mention of a cash prize from anyone until Shane announced the thread. I remember being quite surprised, and in fact Dwayne and Peav even offered to match that prize for any team that signed up and beat us. But desire to team stack in the CTFL? Sorry that we want to play with our friends, and that our friends happen to be good at CTF. But there's more good CTF'ers out there than just our little guild which had 3-4 members max during the whole time of CTFL signups. Were we confident we could win with all our previous experience and love for the game back on Defiance? Absolutely. Did we only recruit people because we thought they were the best at the game and we wanted nothing more than to win? Definitely not.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like a bad thing to play with your friends. Perfectly acceptable. But when you know that means you're going to run the table then I think you can shift the blame to whoever it was that was asking for a bigger purse or whatever it was that was being requested. I think Shane's idea was for a cash prize but I think some people were still asking for more.

In any event he said some people were being a little too pushy.

yea i pvm all the time.... i record myself on my Iphone hiting lichs and using bandies so i can improve my lich killing abilites you know why i do it? cos apparently i dont care about UO at all......
