Email notifications?

Hi.. I'm a little confused on how the forum email notifications are supposed to work.. I thought I have them setup right.. but I guess not. I'd like to be emailed when I receive a private conversation or a response to one of my threads I started.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.. Trying to sell boards & need to be more available for my buyers.

If you go to http://www.uoforum.com/account/contact-details and have

• Receive email when a new conversation message is received

checked, that's about the extent of what you can do. However, "Conversations" are kind of like PMs on these boards, so you'll have to ask people to PM you if they want a quick response.

Alternatively,

• Receive email when name is mentioned

Might work when people quote you. But not everybody will quote you.

This is probably what you're looking for:

• Automatically watch threads that you create or when you reply...
  • and receive email notifications of replies

Interesting, I had all 3 of those checked.. and when I got a PM, nothing happened.. Does this work for other people? My e-mail address is legit & nothing is in spam.

It did when we had the previous forums.

I don't actually have any of those checked this time but I also haven't posted much.

Hmm, odd.. Anyways, I reinstalled the old ICQ.. since that seems to be somewhat popular around here. I suppose I could use mIRC too.
