Does detect hidden reveal locked dungeon chests?

I read on EA's UO wiki that detect hidden used to reveal locked chests. This is a UO:R server, and so it might have hidden chests like EA claims there used to be (whenever that was).

Does detect hidden reveal hidden dungeon chests?

If it doesn't, I don't see much reason to keep it on my thief (who has detect/lockpick/trap/hide/stealth/snoop/steal). Can it be dropped once remove trap has been GM'd?

I read somewhere said that you have to have at least 50 Detect Hidden to be able to use remove trap, not sure if it's true.

Not sure what hidden dungeon chests are. There are pickable dungeon chests with loot inside which you can see by clicking on them (if it says "metal/wooden chest" instead of "metal/wooden chest (0 items, 0 stones)" then it is a pickable dungeon chest with loot inside. Detect Hidden will reveal that they are trapped, but they are trapped and locked by default anyway so it is pointless in this case. The quickest way to check is just by using Remove Trap on it and seeing if it disarms anything.

You need 50 Detect Hidden and 50 Lockpicking in order to train Remove Trap, but once you train it you can get rid of DH to free up the points. It has its uses, but probably not a top pick for a straight thief.
