Does a Talisman do anything without a relic?

Just got the Berserk talisman, but will it actually help me without those relics?

Can I only get relics from the Daemon in wrong?

yes you still get a damage buff more than you would w/o it.

You get roughly a 5% damage increase per level with just the berserker talisman itself. That information is taken from the Wiki. You can get relics from the arch demon, RDAs, champ spawns, and turning in crystal fragments in hythloth and destard.

Noob question, but I've seen those crystals before where do you turn them in?

The hythloth altar is on the first level at the end of long hallway near the entrance. the destard altar is north of the champ spawn, right next to the ankh.
