Do you Need GM lockpicking for level 6 tmaps???

i have 95.1 lockpiking wondering if i need gm to open level 6 tmap chests.. i know this question has probably been asked before but i cant find it in the forums.. thanks

Sure do.

You can work up in dungeons but you might be best off to farm up/buy up 5 LP scrolls after your LP is 95.0 real

You actually don't. You need GM to open up the L6 paragon chest but not to do the L6 treasure map. I came across this because I used to use 2 different chars to do tmaps. One with all the tmappy stuff (cart, provo etc) and my thief with GM LP but I got tired of it and made the cart, provo guy gain LP but he's still only 95.6 and opens up L6 maps within a few tries.

95.1 was the skill I was at when I opened my first level 6 tmap, I think I broke about 20 lock pics on it

Still seems weird to me. I just recently made my thunter and GMed LP...I break picks on lvl 4 treasure chests all the time (starting low as I am using them for private meta-pet farm sessions) so I thought for sure all lvl 6's were created equal.

I can barely carry the loot from a lvl 4 chest, I imagine lvl 6 chests have an insane amount of loot (compared to lvl 6 paragon) to not require GM LP to unlock.
