Different wood types

What do the different wood types offer?

Is Frostwood stronger than Oak? Do they add base damage like Might vs Vanq? Or do they offer better chance at modifiers? Or higher modifiers? Like Oak can only craft Might at max and Frost can craft up to Vanq?

I'm trying to understand the value vs one another unless its all just cosmetic

I remember ash wood gave Swing speed increase by 10% not sure if they give that add on or not.
